Paragraphs, Volleyball and Connection Map

We are working on our informative writing in slow and simple stages!
Today we wrote our FIRST paragraph!

In math, we are working with regular and irregular polygons!
Students created with the geoboards!

We started volleyball today!
Ask me about bumping, setting, spiking and serving!

Students are developing an understanding of the interconnectedness of water and how it connects all living things, communities, and ecosystems. Through their learning students are recognizing the importance of respecting, protecting, and conserving water for future generations.

Students are making a water connection map to show their personal understanding!

TIDE Planner, Benchmarks and Water Bottles

We started a NEW writing task with a different planner.
Students are sharing their expertise with classmates through a multi-paragraph task.
This will be HARD, but we can do it!

In grade 4 I can....

...develop a logical order by grouping ideas into paragraphs.

...write paragraphs with topic and concluding sentences.

...edit writing for spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

A benchmark angle is like a familiar friend in the world of angles. It's an angle you already know the size of, so you can use it to guess or estimate how big other angles are.

Sadly...Mrs. Sloane did not take any pictures today!

As the weather gets warmer, we are noticing that many students are feeling thirsty throughout the day!

Please send a water bottle to school with your child each day so they can have quick access to water while learning. This helps reduce interruptions during teaching and learning time, as multiple students asking to leave for water at the same time can be challenging during lessons.
