Editing your own work is HARD work! Students have been learning about editing, and they have been editing their own birthday party stories. Sometimes students don't want to acknowledge their mistakes or make the changes because it is HARD!
We had an honest conversation about slowing down, and owning your mistakes in writing!
NOBODY will write without mistakes...mistakes help us learn!
Today, we took a break from the birthday stories, and edited a leprechaun story that was FILLED with mistakes. Students were expected to read the text, edit, and re-read the text with corrections.
We are learning HOW to simplify fractions with finding the GCF, and dividing both the numerator, and the denominator by the GCF!

This week is expected to be very wet and muddy with all the MELTING snow.
Please make sure your child comes to school with appropriate footwear and extra clothing in their backpack in case they get wet during recess.
