Autobiography and Polygons

During May 4-15, we are encouraging students to bring in non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and other pantry staples.

Please DO NOT bring items that are expired or require refrigeration.

Last week students finished their poem anthology,
and today they wrote their autobiography for their anthology!

We worked with classifying and labelling polygons today!

Students explored different shapes by looking at their sides and angles, and they practiced sorting polygons into groups such as triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons and up to dodecagons. To deepen their understanding, students participated in hands-on activities and shared their thinking with partners, explaining how they knew which category each shape
 belonged to.
